What We Do
SURGERY/ DENTISTRY
We offer surgical and dental procedures for small, large, and exotic animals. From preventative procedures such as spays, neuters, castrations, and dental cleanings to emergency procedures, we are committed to excellence in every step of your pet’s surgical event. Anesthetic and fluid protocols are custom designed for each patient and reflect thoughtful consideration of their medical needs.
MEDICINE & PREVENTATIVE CARE
Our veterinarians care for small, large, and exotic animals through times of wellness and illness. We offer preventative care packages that are specifically designed for your pet through all chapters of life. We will also recommend wellness strategies such as tick, flea, and parasite medications and make recommendations regarding diet. In the unfortunate event of illness, our hospital has a complete in-house laboratory and a fully stocked pharmacy to rapidly diagnose and begin treatment for your pet.
ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE
Our trained veterinarians offer Acupuncture for small and large animals. Acupuncture can help many conditions, such as arthritis, and can decrease our reliance on pharmaceutical drugs. We also utilize a Class IV laser which can be used for musculoskeletal pain, injuries and can improve surgical healing time. Treatments such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) use a patient’s own blood components to promote healing in a specific location of their body, typically a joint or wound.
EMERGENCY CARE
We accept walk-in emergencies during regular business hours. We do accept new clients/ patients on an emergency basis.
HOSPITALIZATION
We comfortably care for small and large animal patients overnight when required so they may continue to receive timely care in a climate-controlled environment.
EUTHANASIA
Our caring veterinarians are here to help you and your pet navigate their final chapters of life. We provide counseling and strategies to help make this transitory time as comfortable as possible for both pet and owner.
AMBULATORY SERVICE
We are available to come to you for care if it is not possible for you to transport your pet to us. Ambulatory services include dentistry for horses, mobile x-ray, laceration repair, and vaccinations. Ambulatory services are available for large and small animals, although not all procedures/ diagnostics can be performed outside of the hospital.
REPRODUCTIVE SERVICES
We offer reproductive services for small animals including progesterone levels, and vaginal cytology. We also offer genetic screening, such as PennHIP and OFA studies.
